Bio
I am a lens based artist of Sicilian origin living in Oxfordshire, UK.
I am a self-taught photographer who believes in lifelong learning, this has brought me to take part in different workshops and projects in order to dive deeper by confronting my work with like minded people. Photography is how I express my creativity and emotions. I explore questions of identity, memory, family with an interest in female and social issues.
My work has been included in numerous exhibitions in UK and most recently internationally as part of the Tend Collective.

Bootcamp was held in January 2022, a free two-week online programme with Hundred Heroines, the only UK charity dedicated to women and photography. It offered ‘an invaluable opportunity for participants to contribute to raising the profile of women in photography, develop new skills and the chance to be creative’.
So, we came together from Canada, Paris, London, Brighton, Blackpool, Cornwall, Oxford and Chippenham. It was supportive, gentle, open; it was listening and learning. It was feminist leadership. A collective was born. And this is the product of that online shared space.
We have since shared images of bodies; of broken bones, family archives; intimate moments, flowers; the fields we tend, and other women, dancing or still, taking up room.
We may never meet, or share space and time, but we have produced magic. Sharing our own communities, worlds, practise, art.

A group of talented local female photographers have been working together to develop ideas and new work, facilitated by North Wall Propeller 2021 artist Philippa James. This exhibition uses the number 14 as its catalyst and is curated by the group to include up to three final works by each artist. These works can be seen in the online exhibition, live for the duration of Photo Oxford Festival 2021. This year’s festival continues to explore the theme Women And Photography: Ways Of Seeing And Being Seen.
